About the Author

I have been an artist all my life, with additional jobs and responsibilities that have given me lots of meaningful experiences. As I’ve aged, I realize that all these past experiences are interconnected. They all involve sharing what it means to be human.

I have been making art, writing stories, producing television and radio programs, and becoming one of the first female disc jockeys in the 1970’s; I’ve been the executive director of a nationally accredited art museum, co-owned a community printmaking studio,  taught printmaking, drawing, painting and journal-making, and exhibited my own art which has happily found its way into national and private collections. In essence, I have always been involved in communicating what this experience called “life” is all about. My new stories are just part of this plan.

I am also a family person---a wife, mother of three grown children and grandmother of three. I adore playing with my young grandchildren, introducing them to the world of telling stories, making art and cultivating their gardens.

I am also the best friend to our Beagle, Banjo, who is a very funny dog indeed. I’m a life-long gardener and lover of historic places.

All this to say, this is the material from which my creativity arises. Living life as an artist has been a good life.
